Book Blitz- Love, Lies & The D.A.

Author Bio-
Rebecca Rohman is a wife and designer currently living in the Northeastern United States. She was a Sales Manager for a tourist magazine, and for many years prior, she was involved in marketing for a jewelry company, and later for a fine wine distributor.
About fifteen years ago, she started writing her first romance novel, Uncorked, just to purely entertain herself. It was not until early in 2012 when she decided to complete it and share it with the world. The story was published in February of 2013. Love, Lies & The D.A. is her second novel.
Blurb-
Jada McLean is about to get married in nine days, when she walks in on her fiancĂ© in a little more than a compromising position. Days later, she’s on a trip that she intends to be relaxing and a prelude to her fresh start, when she runs into the rude, obnoxious, but gorgeous Jonathan Kole.
Jonathan Kole is San Francisco’s newest District Attorney. When he finds himself deeply attracted to a stunning beauty, he has no idea that she’s about to get into BIG trouble with the law—and he’ll be the one presiding over her trial. To make matters worse, his father is the lawyer representing her in the high-profile case.
When a series of events force them together over New Year’s weekend, Jonathan’s feelings and ethics will come into question, while Jada comes to terms with the fact that she is falling for the man that will be responsible for attempting to put her behind bars… Little do they know, they're both about to fall into a whirlwind so deep, it will send both their lives spiraling out of control.

Life's a Cappella by Yessi Smith (Meet the Author and Review)
Meet Yessi Smith
Author
I’m a Hispanic living in South Florida with my redneck husband
from Texas and our “half breed” son, who is actually the reason I started
writing again after years of celibacy. My son loves stories, but not the kind
you can read in an existing book. No, he’d rather make up a story, complete
with our own illustrations. So, thank you, Son, for igniting a flame I had let
go out.

My Review
(4.5 out of 5 Stars)
Oh my goodness. That's the first thing I think as I remember this book. Yessi Smith Delivers quite a story, and she does so wonderfully. I was immediately sucked into this story. I wanted to know everything there was to know about Erin and I was not disappointed.
When I review I try to do so without there being any spoilers but this one may be hard to express what I felt without telling you what exactly happened but I will show you a couple of the notes I took while reading...
~I'm only partially through the book but I needed to start writing what I feel while I feel it. A bomb was just dropped and it literally gave me chills. CHILLS! Holy hell, Yessi Smith, I did not see that coming AT ALL. You clever woman. I'm going to keep reading now because I have to see how this drama unfolds...
~Now I'm starting to get teary eyed... Even my heart is racing. OMG.
~No, she did not. no no no no.
Those are only a few. The emotions this book brought out in me was unexpected. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying, good books always affect me on a deep emotional level but this one hit home.
There are very serious story lines in this book but there are also parts where I was left giggling like a little girl. When I read the part about "Chewie" I had to take a book break because I was laughing so hard. I became attached to these characters and I am very much looking forward to her next book which is only days away!
I highly recommend this read!

Review- That's a Promise by Victoria Klahr
(4.5 out of 5 Stars)
Wowzers. This book was an amazing read! I could not get enough of it. I would have finished it in one sitting if life didn't keep insisting on interrupting me.
This is the story of Josie who lives through numerous life shattering events. However, the little firecracker that she is, she is able to get up and put forth her best effort into living again. Her friend Seth is there almost every step of the way to help her out. Although, some of those life shattering events test their friendship.
When she finally gets on proper footing with her life she starts going to a new college and that is where she meets her bestie, Brooke, and she also meets hottie, and eventual boyfriend Blake.
Having a tattooed up handsome best friend (Seth) and a gorgeous boyfriend has its perks. But it also has its challenges.
The story begins in present tense and starts to retell all the details to how things ended up the way they did. As things unravel it just gets more and more intense. I always try to guess what is going to happen in a story and I was able to guess a couple of events but that was only because I read something with a small similarity recently. However, I was still just as spellbound by this read. Victoria has a way of sucking you into her book.
I couldn't get enough of these characters. Especially Seth. OMG. Seth. *Sigh*
Don't get me wrong though, I loved Blake too.
Not only would I read this book again but I am also tremendously looking forward to the follow up book. Like, OMG, I'm not even kidding. Wait 'til you get to the end. That's all I'm going to say lol

Interview with NY Times Best-Selling Author Colleen Hoover
I emailed Colleen Hoover asking for a possible interview, or anything at all really, because it's Colleen freaking Hoover! Never did I imagine she would message me back. Not that I thought that in a bad way at all it's just that she's an extremely busy person and she's probably writing some more amazing books.
Imagine my excitement when I checked my email and she messaged me back. I was FREAKING out. Seriously, I was a squealing mess.
Anyways, she was awesome enough to let me ask her a few questions. So without further rambling... Here they are :-)
What was your inspiration to start writing?
A line in one of my favorite Avett Brothers songs that says, "Decide what to be and go be it".
Who's your favorite Author?
It's really hard to choose just one but I love John Green.
What book(s) have influenced your life the most?
I honestly wasn't a big reader before I started writing. When I did read, they were usually true crime stories, not fiction. So, I wasn't really influenced by any books, as weird as that may sound!
What was the inspiration behind the Hopeless series?
I never really know what inspires my stories. I have new ideas for stories all the time, but they don't usually turn into anything. The story behind Hopeless is one that I just couldn't get out of my head once it got there. I had to write it down.
What was the inspiration behind the Slammed series?
Slammed was a little different because it was my first book. I really wanted to write something that included slam poetry, so that was the basis and inspiration for that story.
Did you ever think your books would become big hits like they did?
Not at all. I wasn't even planning on trying to get them published. I really only self-published so my friends and family could get my book on their kindles! I was shocked when the sales started to take off.
What are your current projects?
I just turned in two books to my publisher: Maybe Someday (March 18) and Ugly Love (August 5). Also, Atria just announced that they will be releasing Finding Cinderella IN PRINT on March 18!
What made you come up with the idea to do a soundtack with Maybe Someday?
I really enjoyed including slam poetry and Avett Brothers lyrics in Slammed, and readers responded positively to it as well. So, I thought it would be cool to take a step forward and actually create original music and lyrics for the book!
(A question asked by a fellow fan and a follower of My Book Inspired Ramblings) What's the name of the song Will played for Layken?
